From the history of the department
The Preparatory Department of the Polytechnic
Institute of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi
in Khujand has been operating since its founding in 2010 under a license from
the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
One of the main focuses of the Preparatory
Department is organizing short-term courses for applicants to higher education
institutions based on centralized examinations of the National Testing Center
under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan across all clusters. It also
organizes short-term professional development courses for youth and adults in
English, Russian, and German, electrical equipment assembly and repair, design
and sewing, vehicle maintenance, information technology, mass food technology,
beverage production technology, computerized accounting, and the basics of
computer design.
The Preparatory Department is subordinate to the
Center for Advanced Training. The department's head and specialist organize,
conduct, and monitor classes to prepare applicants for the centralized exams of
the National Testing Center under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan
and prepare students for short-term advanced training courses.
Main activities of the department/center
The main goal of the preparatory department is to
prepare applicants for admission to higher professional educational
institutions in the country and to enroll students in short-term professional
development courses. The preparatory department accepts students with a general
education, as well as 11th-grade students from secondary schools.
The department's main tasks include planning,
organizing, and supporting the methodological process of teaching, as well as
providing highly qualified and experienced instructors. In addition to the
institute's highly qualified instructors, experienced teachers of physics,
chemistry, Tajik language, biology, and geography from schools in the city and
Sughd region are invited to conduct classes and practical lessons in the
preparatory courses department. Analysis of previous years shows that
applicants have a relatively high level of knowledge after completing the
preparatory courses. The primary assessment of the preparatory courses
department's performance is the successful completion of the exam at the
National Testing Center under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and
the admission of applicants to higher professional educational institutions.
Preparatory courses are offered full-time and,
depending on students' preferences and language proficiency, in either Tajik or
Russian. Applicants prepare for admission to higher education institutions in
the country and abroad.
The preparatory department team strives to
increase the number of applicants and to consolidate and improve their
knowledge.

The Head of the Preparatory Courses Department is
responsible for record keeping, preparing letters and certificates, developing
the department's work plan, submitting certificates to the Ministry of
Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, developing and compiling
the department's annual report, and carrying out the Director's instructions.
The Head of the Preparatory Courses Department
reports to the Head of the Advanced Training Department, the Deputy Director
for Academic Affairs, and the Director of the Institute.

The Specialist of the Preparatory Courses
Department organizes classes according to approved curricula and programs,
ensures and regularly monitors the educational process, and develops and
prepares the necessary documentation for students in preparatory courses and
short-term courses. The Specialist reports directly to the Head of the
Department.

information
In the preparatory courses, experienced
instructors teach classes in established subjects in accordance with the
curriculum.
The preparatory department staff strives to
attract the best instructors from the institute and educational institutions in
the Sughd region and prepare applicants to successfully pass entrance examinations
to higher education institutions in the country and abroad.
