Historical Background

The Center for Registration and Consulting is one of the structural divisions of the Polytechnic Institute of the Tajik Technical University named after academician M. S. Osimi in Khujand. It has been operating since 2010.

Over the years, the Center has been headed by experienced faculty members and professionals, including Khurshеd Temurovich Maksudov, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Zafar Abdumalikovich Rahmonov, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor.

Considering the expansion of its functions and responsibilities, the Center’s name was changed from the Student Registration Center to the Center for Registration and Consulting.

 

Main Activities of the Center

The activities of the Center for Registration and Consulting are carried out in accordance with: the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Education"; the "Regulation on the Credit System of Education in Higher Professional Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan"; the "State Standard of Higher Professional Education of the Republic of Tajikistan"; the "Regulation on the Graduation Certification of Students in Higher Professional Institutions"; the Charter of the Institute and other normative legal documents in the field of education of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Center operates under the direct supervision of the Director of the Institute. The main functions of the Center for Registration and Consulting include:

- providing students with necessary regulatory documents;

- organizing academic groups;

- summarizing students’ academic performance (current assessments, rating summaries, midterm and final examinations);

- jointly with the Academic Department, faculties, and departments organizing trimester sessions for students with academic debts;

- preparing statistical reports on the results of examination sessions;

- issuing academic transcripts (certificates) for each student;

- direct participation in organizing and conducting mandatory student-related activities (preparation of diplomas and their supplements);

-preparing and maintaining statistical records and data;

-organizing and maintaining students’ personal files;

- monitoring students’ attendance and academic progress;

- providing relevant authorities with necessary student information.

 

Staff of the Center

The Center employs one head and five inspectors:

Maftunakhon Murodovna Sharipova, Mohira Mirzohaydarovna Sulaymonova, Maftunakhon Shokirovna Yusupova, Shahnozakhon Mirzoganievna Sharipova, and Zarrinakhon Davronovna Nuriddinova.

Each inspector is assigned to a specific faculty and works directly within that faculty. Based on the proposal of the Head of the Center, inspectors are distributed among faculties at the beginning of each academic year.

The key responsibilities of the Center’s inspectors include:

-participating in the development of the annual work plan of the Center;

-preparing and submitting statistical reports on the educational process to the Institute administration and external bodies;

-printing examination sheets, obtaining required signatures, and submitting them to the Institute’s archive;

-collecting and providing information upon request of the administration;

-informing students about relevant orders and directives;

-accepting and processing student applications;

-issuing certificates and transcripts upon students’ request;

-responding to oral inquiries from students;

-performing other administrative tasks as assigned within their scope of work;

-monitoring class attendance twice per shift (at the beginning and end) using a tablet device;

- reporting attendance monitoring results to the Director and Deputy Director for Academic Affairs.

 

Additional Information

The Center for Registration and Consulting operates based on the Strategic Development Plan of the Institute for 2023–2028 (Section A: Strategic Indicators) and the Medium-Term Action Plan for 2023–2025 (Section B: Problems, Strategies, Activities).

The Center’s activities are aimed at improving, strengthening, and automating the following processes:

- monitoring attendance and academic progress;

- processing student applications and requests;

- managing administrative orders and statistical data;

- summarizing the results of examinations and sessions;

- preparing student transcripts and individual academic plans.

The Center plays a key role in ensuring organizational, informational, and analytical support of the educational process, contributing to the improvement of management quality and transparency within the Institute’s academic system.
