From the history of the department
The Department of Engineering Economics and Management is a specialized
department. The activity of the department is carried out according to a modern
three-level model of education - Bachelor's degree, master's degree, doctoral
degree (PhD).
The Department of Architecture functioned as the Department of Economics
and Management in 2010 after the merger of two university branches and trained
specialists in the specialties 1-250107-economics and management at the
enterprise and 1-250103-world economy. Then the activity of the department
became the training of specialists with a master's degree in the specialty
1-250107 economics and enterprise management, 1-260201 - business
administration and a PhD in the specialty 6D050700-management. In 2015, the
department was renamed the Department of Economic Theory and Management, and in
2019, as a result of a change in the structure of the Institute, the Department
of Economic Theory and Management merged with the Department of Sectoral
Economics and to this day functions as the Department of Engineering Economics
and Management at the Faculty of Informatics and Energy.
The main activity of the department
The main activity of the department is aimed at training specialists at
three levels of education:
Bachelor's degree:
- 1-250107-economics and management at the enterprise;
- 1-270101-economics and organization of production in the following areas;
- 1-260203. 23-logistics;
Master's degree:
- 1-250107-economics and management at the enterprise;
Doctorate degree:
- 6d050700-Management.
The mission of the department is to provide high-quality education that
meets modern standards.
The teaching staff of the department includes 3 doctors of Sciences, 1
associate professor, 8 candidates of sciences, 5 senior teachers, 4 assistants.
60% of the teachers have academic degrees and degrees.
Among the full-time teachers of the department are Honored Worker of
Science and Technology of the Republic of Tajikistan, member of the
International Academy of Engineering Sciences, excellent students of education
of the Republic of Tajikistan.
A mandatory element of the educational process of the department is the
scientific activity of teachers and students. A group of teachers of the
department conducts research that continues the traditions of scientific
schools formed at the department, adapted to the current problems of the real
sector of the domestic economy. Today, the staff of the department conducts
scientific research on the study of strategic and innovative factors of
sustainable development of the regional economy.
The topic of the research work of the department is "strategic factors
of sustainable development of the region's economy".
Kafdra teachers have published more than 90 methodological manuals on the
implementation of practical work, textbooks, curricula and workbooks on
specialties. The teachers of the department are the authors of more than 300
scientific articles, including international, national, intra-university,
recognized by KOA and SCOPUS, articles in the field of economics. Teachers of
the department annually take an active part in international, national,
regional, city, intra-institutional competitions and exhibitions with their
projects and scientific research in the economic sphere and are awarded
exemplary places.

The main directions of scientific research
and creativity
The main research direction of the department is "strategic factors of
sustainable development of the regional economy"; "innovative
development of the region based on sustainable development (on the example of
the Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan) is a 5–year theme of the
department.
This is the true worship of Allah Almighty, and this is the worship of
idols.
The research topic is strategic factors of sustainable development of the
regional economy of the Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan, such as:
foreign economic relations, competitiveness of the country, competitiveness of
the region and enterprises, competitiveness of the university, human capital,
human activity, inflation problems, socio-economic factors, the relationship of
innovation, education and the labor market, improving the quality of education,
the introduction of modern teaching methods, transformation of education,
institutional changes, economic mechanisms of sustainable development management,
issues of digital transformation and green economy, innovative development,
etc.
Department of International Activities
Teachers of the department are working on an international project on the
topic "Development of a national concept of cooperative education” within
the framework of the Giz Peck project in order to study and introduce elements
of dual education into the educational process "development of a
cooperative curriculum "Logistics in food production”" within the
framework of the Giz Peck project in order to conduct international
accreditation of the curriculum in the specialty logistics, The international
project "Digitalization of the Economy for the sustainable development of
Tajikistan and Ukraine" participates in the framework of the Erasmus+
project in order to expand the digital economy and digitalize the learning
process of master's and doctoral degrees.

Controller of Economic Affairs, engineer-economist for transport and energy,
specialist in: logistics, specialist in project management.
1-26020323-Logistics. A specialist in the control and
management of the movement of inventories, the organization of a rational
process of promoting goods and services from supplier to consumer. The sphere
of logistics activities may include ensuring the activities of the sphere of
circulation of goods, services, products, organization and direct creation of a
commodity turnover infrastructure.

A specialist with a master's degree in Economics, specializing in Economics
and Enterprise Management.
The Master's program "Economics and Management at the Enterprise"
is aimed at training analytical managers and analysts who are able to ensure
the sustainability and competitiveness of business in the context of the
transition to the digital economy using modern methods of organization
management, modeling taking into account advanced foreign experience, company
business processes and effective financial risk management not only in stable
economic conditions, but also in a crisis.
A graduate of an MBA program forms the competence of a middle and senior
level manager. The MBA program provides the following competencies:
- the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to solve business and
management problems;
- the ability to form goals for decision-making;
- the ability to independently acquire new knowledge, analyze management
information;
- knowledge of methods of planning and forecasting the organization's
activities;
- the ability to use financial analysis, strategic analysis tools, and
methods for evaluating investment projects;

PhD doctoral programs are based on the close integration of educational,
methodological and research activities aimed at training scientific and
pedagogical personnel with a high level of knowledge, skills, competencies and
competencies in the field of economics.
The basis of the fundamental curriculum of the doctoral program consists of
author's courses, scientific seminars of professors, lectures of professors,
master classes of famous scientists and practitioners.
